ItwasduringmysophomoreyearincollegewhenmyfriendsandIdecidedtogoonahikingtriptoaremotemountaininNepal.Wewereallpassionateaboutadventureandnature,sowepackedourbagswithessentialsuppliesandsetoffearlyinthemorning.Thefirstfewhoursofthehikewereeasy,andweenjoyedthescenicbeautyandfreshair.Asweclimbedhigher,theterrainbecamesteeper,andtheairthinner.Wefacedmanychallengesontheway,butourdeterminationandmutualsupportkeptusgoing.

Afterhoursoftrekking,wereachedthesummit.Theviewfromthetopwasbreathtaking,withapanoramicviewofthesurroundingvalleys,snow-cappedpeaks,andlushgreenforests.Wefeltasenseofachievementandfulfillmentthatcantbedescribedinwords.Wespentsometimesoakinginthebeautyofnature,takingpictures,andsharingstories.

Butouradventuredidntendthere.Aswestartedourdescent,theweathersuddenlyturnedhostile.Darkcloudsgathered,andstrongwindsstartedblowing.Wewerecaughtinaseverethunderstorm,withlightningstrikingdangerouslyclose.Wehadtofindshelterquickly,sowetookrefugeinasmallcavewefoundontheway.Therainpoureddownheavily,andwehuddledtogether,waitingforthestormtopass.

Afterafewhours,thestormsubsided,andweresumedourjourneydownthemountain.Thetrekwasslipperyanddangerous,butwenavigatedthroughitcarefully.Finally,wereachedthebasecamp,exhaustedbutexhilarated.Wecelebratedoursurvivalwithawarmmealandhotdrinks,reminiscingaboutthedaysevents.
